The Community Occupational Therapy team is part of East Lothian Rehabilitation Service (ELRS), which includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, community care workers, and assistant practitioners across three bases. The team assesses and plans interventions to support individuals in reaching their goals, including rehabilitation, equipment provision, minor and major adaptations, and crisis work.
We are seeking 2 full-time and 2 part-time Community Occupational Therapists to join our team. Positions are based at East Lothian Community Hospital, John Muir House, or Musselburgh Primary Care Centre. The roles involve working with a mix of short-term crisis cases and long-term complex cases, with one position dedicated to the Major Adaptations Team working on long-term projects for individuals with complex needs.
Applicants must hold an Occupational Therapy Diploma or Degree and be registered with the HCPC. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required, with reasonable adjustments available for those unable to drive due to disability.
This role is considered a regulated position, requiring PVG scheme membership or update prior to employment.
