Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It's our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you'd like to work fewer hours (minimum 12), we have opportunities for this too. We will schedule your hours within the availability windows you provide, with 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As the face of Tesco on the road, we deliver from Lands' End to John O'Groats. Our Delivery Drivers meet and talk to customers in their homes daily. This role involves more than driving: it's about helping others and delivering excellent service with a smile.
It's hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and our customers seek help in many ways. You'll feel like your own boss during deliveries, with support from Managers and colleagues back at base.

Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized.
* Maintaining a tidy delivery yard and picking up litter.
* Washing trays as part of the process.
* Loading the van and checking its roadworthiness.
* Communicating with customers about order changes, substitutions, and refunds.
* Handling products/deliveries carefully.
* Delivering within the scheduled time slot.
* Calling customers if early and stores if delayed by 30+ minutes.
Requirements:
* Build positive relationships with colleagues.
* Be warm and welcoming with customers and colleagues.
* Respond quickly to customer needs and embrace change.
* Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations.
* Share ideas for store improvements.
* Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
