Job Description

We would like to present you with an opportunity for a Transport Administrator to join our team in Oldham on a full time permanent basis!

Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm.

The purpose of a Transport Administrator is to provide administrative support and creation of accurate data, with the ability to work to deadlines and contributing to the overall success of the site.

Key Duties of a Transport Administrator:

1. Contribute to the success of the site by ensuring that all POD and Return processes are carried out in accordance with the site policy documents.
2. Booking in collections for customers and completion of relevant paperwork.
3. Booking in deliveries for customers.
4. Investigate any collection queries.
5. Ensure all paperwork is returned for all customer deliveries despatched from site, and chase outstanding POD’s.
6. Liaising with staff at other depots and external contacts.
7. Photocopying, printing, organising and storing documents and computer based information.
8. Managing inbound diary for all customers.
9. Monitoring daily the clean POD workflow.
10. Controlling period end spreadsheets.
11. Compiling lists of outstanding POD’s and contacting the hauliers to request.
12. Reporting the POD’s outstanding each day.

Qualifications

13. Previous experience within a Transport environment would be advantageous.
14. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
15. Able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in a busy and demanding environment.
16. Computer literate and have a good understanding of MS Office applications.
17. Able to work well as part of a team in a busy office environment.
18. Able to work to tight deadlines and manage your own time effectively.
