Hours: 35 - Term Time Only

Contract: Fixed Term - 1 year Initially

Location: Pudsey

About the Role

The West Area Inclusion Partnership (WAIP) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Key Stage 3 Intervention Provision. This is a non-teaching management role focused on inclusion, pastoral support, behaviour, and safeguarding for pupils on short-term placements from mainstream schools or those permanently excluded.

As the Intervention Manager you will ensure that the welfare and protection of every young person underpins all aspects of provision. You will provide operational leadership of the inclusion base, ensuring its smooth and effective day-to-day running and full compliance with safeguarding and health and safety requirements. You will work closely with schools, families, and multi-agency partners to make sure that young people are supported to thrive academically and personally, that a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment is fostered where they feel valued and motivated, and that effective collaboration with schools and professional agencies delivers consistent, high-quality support for all learners.

About You

The successful candidate will be a skilled manager with a strong background in inclusion, safeguarding, and behaviour management. You will have experience of working with vulnerable young people, managing multi-agency casework, and supporting staff teams. You will be confident, resilient, and able to balance young people's needs with day-to-day operational management.

Key qualities we are looking for include:

* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection, with up-to-date training.
* Experience of inclusive practice, trauma informed practice, SEND and SEMH strategies.
* Excellent communication and partnership working skills with schools, families, and agencies.
* Proven ability to lead, support, and motivate staff teams.
* A commitment to inclusion, equality of opportunity, and improving outcomes for pupils.

We will offer you:

* Comprehensive support and training to enhance your skills and advance your career.
* A welcoming alternative provision
* An excellent opportunity to make a difference
* An inclusive school which strives to meet the needs of all children
* A team of dedicated and committed staff and Governors
* An experienced and supportive leadership and staff team

Why Join Us?

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in improving the life chances of some of the most vulnerable pupils in West Leeds. You will be part of a supportive partnership committed to inclusion, innovation, and positive change.

West SILC is an equal opportunities employer, committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for appointment to this post. The details of the DBS Code of Conduct can be found here: DBS Code of Conduct

We promote diversity and want a workforce which reflects the population of Leeds.
