We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Co-ordinator based at our Ultrapharm site in Pontypool, part of the Finsbury Food Group.
About The Role
As a Training Co-ordinator, you’ll develop and deliver a structured training strategy across Assembly and Sub-Assembly areas. You’ll drive skills development, close training gaps, and ensure teams meet operational and quality standards. Collaborating with the Operations Management team, you’ll enhance performance, improve compliance, and support new product development. This hands-on role involves engaging with employees and fostering continuous improvement.

This is What You’ll Actually Do!
* Design & Deliver Training:
o Create and implement SOPs across Assembly and Sub-Assembly areas.
o Develop and execute structured training plans to bridge skills gaps based on training matrix analysis.
o Identify and engage key employees to support training delivery.
o Communicate and distribute weekly training schedules.
o Oversee the implementation of a training management system to monitor activities.
* Support Operational Excellence:
o Collaborate daily with Operations Management to align training with business needs.
o Onboard shop floor employees, ensuring key skills are met.
o Participate in review meetings, proactively managing training needs for NPD.
* Drive Continuous Improvement:
o Foster a culture of continuous learning and operational efficiency.
o Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and legal training standards.
o Monitor training completion records for accurate documentation.
Ideally, This is You!
* Training Expertise:
o Experience in people development and training delivery.
o Familiarity with FMCG manufacturing processes, including continuous and batch production.
o Strong understanding of operational processes and efficiency improvements.
* Skills & Competencies:
o Confident decision-maker, able to work independently.
o Strong numerical and analytical skills, influencing profitability.
o Excellent communication skills at all levels.
o Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
* Bonus Points If You Have:
o Qualification in training or leadership development.
o Experience in the cake or confectionery manufacturing industry in a senior site or area lead role.
