Overview
About the role: As mid-range Territory Manager (UK North), you will be responsible for growing market share and volume of JCB’s world-leading Telescopic Handler, Backhoe Loader and Rough Terrain Forklift products in the UK market through our dealer network. This diverse role will see you collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to overcome barriers to sale whilst ensuring the JCB value proposition is clear to the marketplace. You will also represent the voice of the customer back into JCB to ensure the products remain competitive, clearly positioned, and aligned to customer needs. A ‘hands-on’ and ‘can-do’ attitude will be essential to success.
What this role involves day to day
* Sales Management – You’ll be responsible for setting SMART product sales targets as well as the reporting and measurement of these through systems such as Salesforce and SAP
* Product Management – You’ll work alongside internal product and supply teams to deliver monthly retail targets
* Business Development – You’ll identify market opportunities for key products and implement sales initiatives to deliver growth
* Relationship Management – You’ll develop key relationships with dealer sales teams, along with internal JCB personnel including the UK Sales and Marketing team
* Problem Solving – You’ll be key in identifying potential issues that may affect future sales, and oversee the implementation of effective solutions
* New product implementation – You’ll support new product introduction into the market and supporting business case development for future product opportunities
Qualifications
* This will be suited to you if you’ve got strong product knowledge and well-rounded commercial understanding
* You possess a customer first attitude
* You have an appreciation of the market JCB operates in and associated industry knowledge, with an understanding of typical construction and industrial applications.
* You’ve got demonstrable experience selling to end users directly or indirectly via a dedicated dealer network, this is desirable but not essential
* You’re able to demonstrate the ability to handle commercial negotiations to help in delivering monthly sales forecasts
* You’re highly self-motivated with a confident manner.
