A respected family-run garage in Poole is looking for an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join its growing team. The Diagnostic Technician will take responsibility for fault-finding and complex repairs across a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Using advanced diagnostic equipment and technical expertise, they will ensure every job is completed efficiently and to the highest standard. Also will be carrying out regular clutches, cambelt, timing belt changes as well as engine work.
Key Responsibilities as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
1. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using up-to-date diagnostic tools
2. Carrying out regular clutches, cambelt, timing belt changes as well as engine work and schedule maintenance.
3. Support and mentor junior technicians where required
4. Stay current with evolving vehicle technologies through ongoing training
5. Work collaboratively with the team to maintain workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction
The Ideal Candidate needed for the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician role:
6. Qualified Vehicle or Diagnostic Technician (Level 3 NVQ or equivalent)
7. Strong understanding of modern vehicle diagnostic systems and excellent heavy mechanic skills
8. Confident working independently and as part of a close-knit team
9. Keen to develop skills through continuous training and development
10. Reliable, motivated, and committed to delivering quality workmanship
