An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and professional sonographer to join our friendly, hardworking ultrasound team. We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified individuals who will be supported to gain experience within their role.
We act as a clinical placement site for the University of Cumbria’s MSc Ultrasound programme, offering opportunities to engage in training and mentorship of student sonographers.
Applicants must hold a recognised ultrasound qualification (PgCert, PgDip, or Direct-Entry Masters) and be eligible to work in the UK with HCPC/NMC or equivalent registration.
Responsibilities include:
* Performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations following guidelines and reporting protocols to aid patient management.
* Communicating diagnosis findings effectively to clinicians and patients, both verbally and in writing.
* Using analytical skills to interpret ultrasound images, distinguishing normal from pathological findings.
* Supervising, educating, and training multidisciplinary staff and students in ultrasound techniques.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients, collaborating within the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. The Trust operates across three locations:
* The Countess of Chester Hospital: 438 beds.
