We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team at Lyndon House, full-time. This is much more than a traditional managerial role; you will lead the operational delivery of NHS outpatient services, working closely with clinicians, back‑office teams, and partner organisations to ensure patients receive safe, efficient, and innovative care.

Main duties of the job
This is a dynamic, operational leadership role ensuring the delivery of high-quality, community‑based NHS services. You will manage teams, oversee day‑to‑day operations, and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to improve patient pathways and service efficiency.
Your responsibilities include leading the operational management of a portfolio of NHS services, particularly within surgical specialties; collaborating with clinicians, back‑office teams, and external partners to deliver safe, efficient, and patient‑focused services; overseeing service performance, governance, and compliance with national and local standards; and driving innovation and service improvements through digital tools, automation, and process redesign.
You will also manage, mentor, and develop large multidisciplinary teams, contributing as a confident and supportive leader who brings our CARE values to life in every decision, interaction, and initiative.
We’re seeking an experienced operational leader with a strong background in healthcare service delivery, ideally within NHS or community‑based services. You will bring a proven track record of managing complex services and large multidisciplinary teams, with the ability to drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement.

Person Specification
Knowledge (Essential)
* Extensive operational experience in a relevant senior role within the NHS and/or private sector.
* Degree and postgraduate level educated or equivalent experience.
* Experience of working in a healthcare environment in a similar capacity, preferably with a background in managing surgical specialties.
* Good understanding of the national direction of travel around Integrated Care Systems and the opportunities this creates.
Skills (Essential)
* Highly organised.
* Proven track record of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with partner organisations.
* Extensive experience of working in an operational environment.
* Extensive experience of managing large teams.
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
