The Children Looked After Team works with children who are under 16 years old and have a care plan for long term foster care. Children transfer into the team after care proceedings conclude and remain with us until they turn sixteen. We have manageable caseloads of 14 to 16 children for a full time worker. This role requires a social worker who has experience of working with children who are long term looked after.
Swindon Borough Council has confirmed that the £100 weekly travel and accommodation expenses will remain in place for all new and existing agency placements. Children's Social Care Workers must reside more than 50 miles from Swindon.
