An outstanding primary school in Hillingdon is looking for a highly motivated and experienced SENCO to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Role:
* Leading the SEN provision within the school, ensuring the needs of all students with special educational needs are met effectively.
* Overseeing the identification, assessment, and planning for SEN students, working closely with teachers and support staff.
* Developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions for students with a range of learning needs.
* Coordinating and providing training for staff to support SEN strategies and ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Building strong relationships with parents, external agencies, and professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
* Leading and managing the SEN team, providing guidance and support to teaching assistants and other staff members.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and SENCO qualification (or in progress).
* Proven experience as a SENCO, with a strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices.
* Experience in leading SEN provision and working with children with a variety of special educational needs.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff in delivering high-quality SEN support.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies.
* A passionate commitment to ensuring the success and inclusion of all students, regardless of their individual needs.
