We are looking for a passionate, reliable and SEND-confident Sports Coach to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and practical experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You must be calm, adaptable, enthusiastic, and able to confidently support children of mixed abilities. We deliver high-quality sports provision across primary schools, special education settings, nurseries, and our own football academy. Our programmes run Monday–Saturday, with hours typically between 08:00–17:00, plus Wednesday evenings (16:30–20:00). The role also includes supporting our holiday clubs during half terms. This is a rewarding position for a coach who wants to make a genuine difference in children's development, confidence, and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging PE lessons in line with school and curriculum requirements Lead breakfast, lunch and after-school sports clubs Plan and deliver football coaching sessions (including 1–2–1 sessions) Coach a variety of sports with adaptive teaching for SEND pupils Build positive relationships with schools, pupils, and colleagues Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, behaviour management and safety Attend monthly team meetings and contribute to ongoing programme development Transport, set up and manage equipment where required Complete any necessary training to support your role What We’re Looking For (Essential & Desirable Skills) Proven experience in sports coaching or a related field Experience working in SEND or inclusive education settings Strong knowledge of sporting techniques, skills and coaching strategies Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work confidently with children of varying abilities and backgrounds Well-organised with the ability to plan purposeful, structured sessions Passionate about children’s physical, social and emotional development Relevant coaching qualifications (desirable but not essential) A commitment to ongoing CPD and professional growth Must not currently be employed by another organisation offering similar services (conflict of interest) Why Join Us Supportive, experienced team environment Opportunities to progress within PE, SEND and football pathways Continued professional development and training provided A rewarding role where no two days are the same The chance to make a real impact on children’s lives through sport Job Type: Full-time Experience: Sports coaching: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required) Work Location: In person
