Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a rapidly growing, purpose-driven consultancy that sits at the intersection of advanced analytics, software engineering, and AI. They're on a mission to deliver real-world impact, through high-value, data-driven platforms and tools, across financial services, government, retail, SaaS, and beyond.
To support this mission, we’re looking for two exceptional Engineering Managers to lead their Software Engineering and Analytics Engineering functions respectively. These roles offer the chance to architect scalable products, lead talented technical teams, and shape the future of data and digital platforms in both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Depending on your background (Software or Data/Analytics), your focus will include:
Software Engineering Leaders:
* Lead the design and development of robust full-stack applications and APIs (Python/Django/Flask, React).
* Champion DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Guide cross-functional teams through agile delivery, technical planning, and product development.
* Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions that support critical client outcomes.
Analytics Engineering Leaders:
* Architect and optimise data pipelines, ELT workflows, and cloud warehouse platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
* Lead teams working with dbt, SQL, Python, and Airflow to drive data transformation at scale.
* Ensure data governance, quality, and modelling standards are upheld across solutions.
* Work closely with data scientists and stakeholders to turn clean data into impactful insight products.
Skills and requirements:
We are seeking candidates with proven leadership, strong technical depth, and a desire to create measurable impact. You should be able to lead through ambiguity, coach technical talent, and shape architecture while remaining hands-on when needed.
We welcome applications from candidates who:
* Have 7+ years’ experience in software, data, or analytics engineering.
* Have led engineering teams and mentored technical talent in high-performance environments.
* Are proficient in either modern software stacks (Python, React, cloud-native) or analytics tooling (SQL, dbt, Airflow, cloud warehouses).
* Bring a strategic mindset, with the ability to connect technical execution to business value.
* Are committed to innovation, collaboration, and data-driven transformation.
* Meet eligibility requirements for UK Security Clearance (essential for public sector work).
Why This Role?
* Work at the frontier of data and technology in a purpose-driven environment.
* Help shape products used by high-growth private sector firms and major public institutions.
* Join a diverse, collaborative engineering organisation with a strong culture of mentoring, experimentation, and ownership.
* Accelerate your career trajectory in a flat-structured, high-trust environment.
