Position: Field Service - Auto Electrical Engineer
Location: Greater Manchester (Travel to Midlands & North Wales)
About the Role:
Our client is seeking experienced field service engineers to cover Greater Manchester, Midlands, and North Wales. This role requires candidates who can stay away from home overnight when necessary. You will perform fault diagnostics on electrically powered equipment, including EV trucks and battery-powered handling equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
* Service and repair a wide range of electric-powered trucks and lifting equipment.
* Conduct advanced fault finding and diagnostics.
* Provide timely and detailed service reports.
* Follow all company procedures and protocols.
* Collaborate with the technical team and share information across the organization.
* Understand customer requirements and offer appropriate recommendations.
* Perform LOLER and thorough examinations.
* Build positive relationships with customers.
The Candidate:
* Proven experience in field service roles.
* Electrical bias with mechanical experience.
* Extensive knowledge of mechanical and auto electrical engineering, including equipment such as material handling, lifting products, and electric trucks.
* Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
* Flexible working hours.
* Willingness to work away from home as required.
* Full and clean driving license.
* Technical degree or certification.
* Knowledge of both AC and DC motors.
