HAF Facilitator (Holiday Activities and Food Programme) / Early Help / Burnley, Pendle, Hyndburn and Rossendale
International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship
Children and Family Wellbeing Service (CFW) is part of Lancashire County Council's Education and Children's Services. It offers early help and support to children, young people aged 0-19yrs+ (25yrs for young people with special educational needs and disabilities) and their families across Lancashire.
Lancashire County Council is seeking enthusiastic, community‑focused HAF Facilitators to support the delivery of our Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, which provides enriching activities and healthy meals to children and young people eligible for benefits‑related Free School Meals. As a HAF Facilitator, you will play a vital role in helping children enjoy fun, safe and engaging holiday activities, ensuring their wellbeing, confidence, and access to healthy food. You will work closely with district councils, local providers, families, community partners and the wider HAF team to ensure the programme runs smoothly and inclusively across Lancashire’s 12 districts.
In this role, you will build effective and purposeful relationships with Lancashire’s district councils to strengthen and champion the delivery of HAF across local communities, acting as a proactive advocate for the programme within Family Hubs and the wider community. You will work collaboratively with partners to ensure that provision is inclusive, high‑quality and responsive, supporting the development of specialist SEND opportunities so that all children and young people can participate meaningfully. Through supportive quality assurance visits, you will help providers embed consistent standards and promote enriching, engaging activities that reflect the needs and strengths of Lancashire’s families. You will play an active role in collecting attendance data, gathering feedback and contributing to ongoing monitoring and evaluation, supporting continuous improvement and best practice. Working alongside district teams, you will help to embed the Department for Education’s HAF guidance and identify and bridge any gaps in provision to ensure no child is left without access to opportunities. Throughout all aspects of the role, you will uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and equality, modelling inclusive practice and ensuring that every child and young person is supported to thrive.
