This job is a night shift 8pm to 6 - 7am
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing fresh produce for shipment, ensuring efficient stock management and maintaining high standards of quality control. Responsibilities
* Select items from stock following order specifications using warehouse management systems
* Pack products securely and efficiently for dispatch, ensuring items are protected during transit
* Load and unload goods using appropriate handling equipment, including forklifts where qualified
* Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and organising produce in accordance with safety standards
* Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company standards before dispatch
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and label application
* Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and operational efficiency
* Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
Requirements
* Proven experience in fresh produce handling, picking & packing, or warehouse operations preferred
* Able to read and understand picking sheets with products listed
* Be personable and able to communicate with other team members
* Knowledge of forklift operation (certification is advantageous)
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping & receiving procedures
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for stock accuracy and quality control
* Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
* Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks effectively

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 50 per week
