We are seeking a Distribution Account Manager for our client based on the South Coast.The Distribution Account Manager will be responsible for developing and managing key customer relationships, delivering a seamless sales experience, and driving sustainable growth in line with the company’s strategic objectives. The role focuses on managing distribution accounts on a global basis, strengthening brand presence, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction and profitability.
This position sits within the Aftermarket/Distribution sales function and requires a commercially focused individual with strong relationship‑management skills and the ability to operate effectively in an international B2B environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Sales Manager to develop and implement detailed sales strategies for the distribution market.
* Manage all aspects of account management, including pricing, quotations, margin control, and commercial negotiations, ensuring business objectives are met.
* Conduct regular business reviews with distributors to assess performance, customer satisfaction, and strategic priorities.
* Collaborate as part of the wider sales team to achieve agreed targets and budgets.
* Develop a strong understanding of the industry, competitor landscape, and full product portfolio to support effective sales activity.
* Build, maintain, and grow long‑term customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective distribution networks to support growth targets.
* Prepare accurate sales forecasts, market data, and reports to support business planning and decision‑making.
* Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings, including international travel as required.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in retail, distribution, or OEM direct sales, ideally within a technical or engineered product environment. You will demonstrate strong commercial awareness, including experience with pricing strategies, margin management, forecasting, and quotation management. Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential, as you will be responsible for managing key accounts and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
