Job Description
Represent the affiliate’s medical/scientific voice of expertise for assigned product(s) and relevant therapeutic areas. Provide medical/scientific expert advice and guidance to key customers, including scientific exchange and relationship development with thought leaders and external experts. Contribute to Medical Affairs strategies, support cross-functional teams, and provide leadership and mentorship as appropriate. Ensure integration of medical affairs with affiliate strategy and execution.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned product(s) and therapeutic areas through meetings, congresses, seminars, and literature review.
2. Provide expert medical/scientific advice, respond to technical information requests, and contribute to the development of medical and scientific documentation.
3. Build and maintain relationships with thought leaders, external experts, and academic centers; participate in scientific congresses and advisory boards.
4. Deliver scientific presentations and educational programs to healthcare professionals.
5. Review scientific literature and develop summaries for internal use.
6. Train sales and other departments; develop training materials.
7. Design and oversee clinical research projects, support clinical studies, and manage related activities.
8. Review and prepare promotional materials to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance.
9. Contribute to marketing strategies and monitor the competitive environment.
10. Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and standards.
Accountability & Scope
* Develop and execute strategic medical plans aligned with business goals.
* Lead and develop direct reports, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.
* Serve as a scientific resource for healthcare providers and external stakeholders.
* Support core activities such as research, educational initiatives, and patient safety.
Qualifications
* Medical Degree or Bachelor's in a scientific discipline or higher.
* Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of drug development and clinical research is advantageous.
* Strong interest in therapeutic areas and medical research.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
* Customer-oriented with a commitment to compliance and scientific integrity.
* Collaborative team player with strong organizational skills and independent working ability.
