Summary of Role & Value to Ingenuity This role exists to develop, support, and continuously enhance a high-performing Business Development team at Ingenuity. Acting as the driving force behind people, process, and performance within the team, this person will ensure that every Business Development professional is equipped to succeed - from recruiting and onboarding new talent to delivering structured training programmes, monitoring performance, and supporting wellbeing and engagement. By bridging talent management, operations, and training, this role ensures that the Business Development team is always resourced, skilled, motivated, and set up to deliver outstanding client results—ultimately safeguarding Ingenuity’s reputation for excellence and supporting growth ambitions. Job Specification Role Purpose To ensure the Business Development team is consistently high-performing by managing recruitment, onboarding, training, performance tracking, and team operations. This role will be a key point of contact for all people-related and operational matters, working closely with senior leadership to ensure capacity, capability, and culture align with client demands. Key Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition & Resourcing Lead recruitment for the Business Development team through preferred suppliers, LinkedIn, universities, and new sourcing initiatives. Align hiring plans with the sales team and MD of Agency Services to ensure the right pipeline of resource matches client demand. Proactively appoint teams and allocate resource to new accounts. Onboarding & Engagement Own the full onboarding process (day one, week one) to ensure a seamless and engaging new starter experience. Manage welcome packs, equipment, line manager and buddy assignment, office induction, LinkedIn announcements, and introductions. Training & Development Design and deliver a structured training programme for Account Managers and Account Directors, leading selected modules. Source internal and external trainers where needed, ensuring all modules are completed and learning embedded. Implement assessments/tests for comprehension and job readiness. Establish an “always-on” training culture with continuous learning, refresher sessions, and upskilling opportunities for all team members. Performance & Wellbeing Own and maintain a performance dashboard to track individual and team progress against targets. Lead quarterly recognition initiatives, including a “Team Player Award” for top performers. Work with Omny HR and line managers to support underperforming staff, manage PIP processes, and provide guidance for staff requiring additional support or adjustments. Culture & Team Engagement Arrange quarterly socials when targets are achieved, reinforcing a culture of celebration and togetherness. Skills & Experience Proven experience in people management, team operations, or talent development/training roles. Strong understanding of recruitment processes, training design, and performance management. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and stakeholder needs. Skilled communicator who can build trust at all levels of the organisation. Proactive problem solver, with a focus on efficiency, continuous improvement, and positive team culture. Success Measures Zero under-resourced client accounts. All new hires fully onboarded and productive within agreed timelines. Training programme launched and 100% completion of modules.
