Job Description
We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Belfast Hospice. The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the Hospice Facilities Team, responsible for leading the maintenance team and ensuring the safe, high‑quality upkeep of the hospice’s buildings, equipment, and grounds. The role involves planning and delivering maintenance services, managing staff, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors, and supporting compliance with health and safety standards. This position is vital in maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
Salary
Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 5 (aligned with AFC) £31,049 – £37,796 pro‑rata per annum + enhancements
Contract
Permanent, Part‑time – 30 hours per week

Qualifications
 * Good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to foster effective teamwork
 * Proven experience managing teams and coordinating health & safety at work, including a solid understanding of H&S regulations
 * Ability to prioritise work effectively and efficiently, with a flexible and creative approach to problem solving
 * PC literate, especially with MS Office, to maintain accurate records
 * Trained to at least HNC or NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering, and IOSH accredited
 * Ability to exert moderate physical effort and hold a current driving licence
