Assistant Practitioner Band 4 Contracts for Final Year of Study (Part 3)
Are you a student nurse entering Part 3 of study at university?
Exciting opportunities are available to become employed in a band 4 Assistant Practitioner position within NHS Lothian during Part 3 of your programme. Contracts will be offered as 1 shift per week, either 7.5 hours or 11.5 hours per week.
These opportunities have been created to provide nursing students with the opportunity to become part of a ward/community team within the workplace ahead of finishing University. Please note that we are only recruiting adult, mental health, learning disabilities and children's nurses via this advert.
Entry requirements:
This opportunity is only available to student adult, mental health, learning disabilities and children's nurses entering Part 3 of their studies. In the application you are required to confirm that you have achieved Part 2 and are progressing to Part 3 therefore meeting the criteria for a band 4 Assistant Practitioner post.

Please ensure that all sections of the application form are fully complete prior to submission. Vacancies for successful candidates may be in a variety of areas. Some vacancies will be acute/community hospital based, while others will involve working in the community. Please ensure that you indicate within your application form if you have a UK drivers license. Within Assessment Form B please note if there is a specific site/speciality that you would like to work.
To evidence that you are entering Part 3 of your nursing studies, please email a copy of the Academic Assessor's Confirmatory Statement recommending progression to Part 3 from your PAD/ePAD (see 'Band 4 Academic Evidence of Progression' document) to the Generic Recruitment team at loth.genericrecruitment@nhs.scot. Failure to do so will result in your application being considered incomplete.
