Responsibilities
* To lead the strategic planning and development of Clinical Pharmacy Services in Haematology and Oncology, ensuring services are high-quality, cost-effective, and aligned with departmental objectives.
* To manage and supervise all staff within Technical/Cancer Services, including recruitment, daily scheduling, performance reviews, training, and professional development to maintain operational efficiency.
* To provide specialist advice on cancer therapies and complex medicines, including guidance on administration, formulation, and patient‑specific treatment strategies, supporting safe and effective clinical decision‑making.
* To oversee and ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, including MHRA, GMP, and NHS standards, for aseptic compounding, cytotoxic products, and other specialised pharmaceutical operations.
* To implement and maintain pharmacy IT systems and electronic prescribing platforms, ensuring accurate data capture, reporting, and integration across departments and supporting decision‑making and quality improvement initiatives.
* To lead education, training, and professional development programmes for pharmacy staff, students, and multidisciplinary colleagues, including mentoring, competency assessments, and supporting research, clinical trials, and CPD activities.
