Overview
Dains is a fast-growing accountancy and advisory firm, backed by private equity and on a clear trajectory to become a Top 20 UK firm. We are seeking a Regional Marketing Manager for the Midlands to own and deliver the regional marketing and demand generation approach, supporting business development and revenue growth across the region. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role, combining strategic planning with day-to-day execution. The role will work closely with Midlands Partners and Business Development (BD) teams to drive pipeline, while operating in close collaboration with the Dains Group Marketing team to ensure alignment with Group strategy, brand, campaigns, and systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that Group marketing is effectively translated into regional impact, while tailoring activity to reflect the Midlands market opportunity.
Responsibilities
* Understand the Midlands SME and Private Client market opportunity, including priority sectors, services, and growth areas
* Own and deliver the regional marketing, demand generation, and BD support strategy for the Midlands, aligned to Dains Group priorities
* Work closely with the Dains Group Marketing team on brand strategy, campaigns, go-to-market plans, and channel development, ensuring consistency while adapting for regional relevance
* Collaborate day-to-day with the Group Marketing team, Midlands Partners and BD teams to support:
o Pipeline development
o Sector and service line campaigns
o Cross-sell initiatives
o Individual BD objectives
* Lead the development of regional brand awareness and credibility, increasing visibility across target audiences and markets
* Design and deliver demand generation programmes suited to professional services and relationship-led sales
* Take hands-on ownership of key marketing channels including:
o Email marketing
o Events and webinars
o Thought leadership and content
o Social media
o Website and SEO
* Lead the planning and delivery of regional events and client-facing activity, supporting engagement and lead generation
* Support the development of “visible experts”, increasing the profile of key Partners and specialists
* Play a key role in the adoption and optimisation of CRM and marketing automation systems, supporting improved targeting, segmentation, and pipeline visibility
* Use data and insight to improve campaign effectiveness, conversion, and ROI
* Take a test-and-learn approach, piloting new campaigns, channels, and ideas to drive growth and share learnings across the Group
* Track performance and provide clear reporting on marketing and BD contribution to pipeline and revenue
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Marketing experience within professional services or B2B environments
* Demonstrable experience in driving growth through marketing and demand generation activity
* Experience working closely with Partners, Directors, or senior stakeholders, influencing without direct authority
* Strong understanding of relationship-led sales and business development environments
* Proven ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
* Experience working within a group or matrix structure, balancing central and regional priorities
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to challenge constructively
* Commercially minded, data-led, and results-focused
* Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics. Technically proficient across marketing tech stacks, including CRM, marketing automation, and email marketing systems
* High levels of initiative, resilience, and drive, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Strong numeracy and data literacy, with the ability to analyse performance and translate insight into action and experience using data to optimise campaigns, conversion, and overall marketing effectiveness
* Hands-on experience managing B2B social media channels (particularly LinkedIn) as part of wider demand generation programmes
