Quality Inspector

We are looking for a technically strong Quality Inspector with deep experience in interpreting engineering drawings and building robust inspection processes. This is a specialist role focused on creating Inspection Control Plans (ICPs), defining metrology methods, and setting up inspection structures in SAP to support new product introduction and series production.
Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and specifications to define how each feature should be measured.
Create accurate Inspection Control Plans and translate them into SAP inspection structures using:
MM02 – Material setup & defining inspection requirements
QP01/QP02 – Creating inspection plans & characteristics
QDL1 – Defining sampling frequency
Determine correct measurement methods (CMM, hand tools, gauges, fixtures, functional checks, etc.).
Identify and specify checking fixtures, holding fixtures, or new metrology equipment where required.
Validate inspection feasibility for CTQ, SC, CC and safety-critical characteristics.
Provide feedback to Design Engineers to improve drawing clarity and measurement interpretation.
Support inspection readiness for prototype, pre-production and series production builds
Requirements
Strong technical ability in reading drawings, interpreting GD&T and defining measurement strategy.
Proven experience writing Inspection Control Plans or equivalent inspection documentation.
SAP experience with MM02, QP01/QP02 and QDL1.
Solid metrology knowledge and hands-on measurement experience (CMM or traditional metrology).
Experience planning gauges, checking fixtures or bespoke inspection tooling.
Confident communicator able to work with Engineering, Metrology and Supplier Quality teams.
Automotive/motorcycle/aerospace background preferred.
Clean UK/ or equivalent Driving Licence
