What you'll do Lead the delivery of a high-quality Finance Business Partnering service, contributing to the organisation's overall financial management, governance, and strategic direction. Provide senior management with robust, data-driven financial insight and challenge to ensure value-for-money decisions aligned with strategic objectives. Support the development and monitoring of strategic, capital, and operational budgets to optimise resource allocation and achieve performance targets. Deliver financial expertise for major and complex business cases, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and best practice frameworks. Identify and manage financial risks, implementing effective control mechanisms across business areas. Develop and monitor key performance indicators to assess and enhance financial and operational performance. Lead and manage a team of Finance Business Partners, setting clear objectives, reviewing structure and workloads, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Oversee financial reporting and promote best practice in devolved budgeting, ensuring consistency and high standards across all business units. Manage the Procurement-to-Pay function, ensuring compliance, value for money, and the delivery of an efficient, quality service. Provide professional procurement and contract management advice, supporting compliant and effective routes to market and supplier relationships. Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, governance bodies, and external partners, to promote financial best practice. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and operating models, supporting service transformation and innovation. Ensure compliance with statutory financial governance, data protection, and audit requirements, leading on the implementation of recommendations and improvements. Support corporate governance and accountability processes, ensuring alignment with public sector values, financial regulations, and professional standards.
