Overview
Our client are looking for a dedicated individual to join their growing team based in Birmingham. This role is pivotal in ensuring that food production requirements are met on daily basis by coordinating with suppliers to procure ingredients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inventory levels to meet daily production and distribution targets
Oversee daily operational efficiency of stock and ingredient availability
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods
Maintain and optimise stock control systems and records
Developing new menus for customers.
Support compliance with food safety, health & safety, and industry standards (e.g., SALSA/BRC)
Conduct regular audits and manage inventory-related documentation
Lead and train staff on inventory handling and compliance procedures
Track food usage, minimise waste, and manage associated costs
Visit client sites periodically to assist with onboarding and compliance checks
Key Skills Required
Strong experience in inventory management within food production or catering
Solid understanding of food safety standards and HACCP protocols
Ability to forecast and plan stock requirements accurately
Strong budgeting and cost control abilities
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years experience in an inventory, stock control, or kitchen operations management role
Qualifications in logistics, supply chain, professional cooking, or food operations (desirable)
Experience working in a compliance-led environment (SALSA, BRC, HACCP)
Financial understanding related to inventory costing and wastage control
