Prospero Teaching are looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutors to work with a number of young learners across Salisbury and surrounding areas. These learners, aged 4 to 18, require support in Maths, English, and personal and social development skills.
As a n SEN Tutor you will:
Provide 1:1 tuition tailored to each learner's individual needs.
Support academic progress in Maths and English, as well as personal and social development.
Deliver sessions in a way that is engaging, practical, and confidence-building.
Work flexibly across various days, times, and locations depending on learner availability.About you:
Experience working in UK schools (e.g. as a Teaching Assistant, Teacher, Cover Supervisor, or ELSA).
A nurturing, patient, and positive approach to working with young people.
The ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and needs.
A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Access to transport is desirable due to the varied locations.Position - SEN Tutor

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL
Trauma-informed and skilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies- Desirable

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
