HR management (absence management, investigations, disciplinaries)
Manage and deliver on-ground maintenance operations (including within cemeteries and crematoria)
Manage and coordinate, with SMBC Bereavement Services, burial operations.
Support health and wellbeing initiatives
Represent the company at local authority and resident meetings
Deliver employee inductions and maintain training records
Oversee and maintain vehicle compliance
Help manage transfer station and depot compliance
Conduct crew inspections and monitor contract work
Assist in other service areas, such as Waste, Street Cleansing, and HWRC, as required.

Essential
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience with grounds maintenance equipment and machinery
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of environmental legislation
* Experience in disciplinary investigations and absence monitoring
* Computer literacy
Desirable
* Experience in grounds maintenance contracts, ideally within cemeteries and crematoria
* Horticultural qualification or equivalent practical experience
* Recognised burials qualifications; ICCM COTS
* PA1 & PA6 Certification
* IOSH managing safety certification
* Accident investigation experience (advantageous)
