Senior Energy Manager - Commercial Real Estate - London - Hybrid - £45-60k + Bonus

Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Energy Manager to support the implementation of energy management and efficiency strategies across a diverse commercial property portfolio. The successful candidate will lead audits, identify performance improvements, and drive compliance with key sustainability frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Energy Strategy & Delivery
* Develop and implement energy management strategies to optimise operational performance and reduce energy consumption across assets.
* Conduct detailed energy audits and identify opportunities for efficiency, renewable integration, and cost savings.
* Lead on the delivery of energy reporting and sustainability assessments across managed portfolios.
Data & Compliance
* Oversee energy data monitoring, analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance with relevant UK and EU legislation.
* Manage energy performance certifications and contribute to regulatory submissions.
* Ensure adherence to standards such as ISO 50001, BREEAM, LEED, and NABERS.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Collaborate with property management teams, occupiers, and sustainability leads to promote carbon reduction and ESG initiatives.
* Produce and present reports, business cases, and investment proposals for senior stakeholders.
* Mentor and develop junior energy professionals within the team.
Essential Skills & Experience
* 5–7 years’ experience in energy management within commercial real estate or corporate environments.
* Strong technical knowledge of energy systems, monitoring software, and energy performance contracting.
* Experience delivering projects aligned with sustainability frameworks and carbon reduction targets.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications
* Degree in Energy Management, Engineering, Sustainability, or related discipline.
* Professional certification (CMVP, ISO 50001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent) desirable.
* Experience managing external consultants and energy service providers.
* Understanding of UK energy legislation, including SECR and ESOS.
