Senior Credit Research Analyst
This position is based in London and this will be the contractual location of the successful candidate; other locations cannot be considered.
Overview
This is a credit research role with primary responsibility for providing in-depth, critical analysis within the asset-backed and structured credit sectors. You will support portfolio construction decisions across both investment grade and high yield credit markets, using your judgment and experience to generate trade recommendations across relevant portfolios. You will work collaboratively with research colleagues across AI, fund managers and other AI research and strategy teams to formulate and underpin security selection recommendations.
Responsibilities
* Provide in-depth analysis within the asset-backed and structured credit sectors.
* Support portfolio construction decisions across investment grade and high yield credit markets.
* Generate trade recommendations for relevant portfolios based on fundamental and sustainability factors that drive issuer credit quality.
* Collaborate with research colleagues, AI teams, fund managers and strategy teams to formulate security selection recommendations.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
* Experience of investment grade and/or high yield debt capital markets from a buy side asset manager, sell side investment bank or rating agency.
* Asset-backed and structured credit sector expertise required.
* Ability to deliver high conviction investment opinions with analysis of fundamental and sustainability factors driving issuer credit quality.
* Authoritative within area of expertise with a good level of broader macroeconomic knowledge.
* Experience in developing and building relevant modelling tools.

Regulatory regime
In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks before you take up your role and we’ll ask questions on an annual basis to ensure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent. Training will be provided on what holding an SMCR role means when you join and annually thereafter.
