Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a tutor in NG31, Grantham! At Prospero, we work with local authorities to arrange 1:1 tuition for students accessing alternative provision. What will you be tutoring? The vast majority of our tuition referrals are for English and Maths. A lot of our students are working below expected age range. When and where will you be tutoring? Our tuitions can be held in a number of places: Within schools Within public places Within students homesAt all of the above locations, there will always be an appropriate adult present for your tuition sessions. This will be the students parent, carer, or guardian. Our tuitions take place within school hours, 9am - 4pm, and our clients are very flexible on timings. What qualifications do you need? With our tuition roles, you do not need to be a qualified teacher. We usually ask that you have some form of higher education. We'd also expect candidates to have some prior experience within education; at least 4 months working in a school or educational setting. This could be as a teacher, teaching assistant, or in a pastoral or support role. Details about the role: Location: NG31, within the students home. Start Date: September 2025. End Date: Ongoing Hours: 10 hours per week Pay: £20 - £30 per hour. The Role: English, Maths and PSHE (independent / life skills, socialisation and mentoring) tuition for a Year 9 male. Students SEN status is ADHD and SEMH needs, so experience within this area is desired. Student is working below ARE in both subjects and has an EHCP which you'll have access to once you're confirmed for the role. How do I get started?
