First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an IT Support Technician on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide first and second-line IT support to internal teams and remote users.
2. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues promptly and efficiently.
3. Install, configure and maintain operating systems, applications and equipment (including PCs, laptops, screens and peripherals).
4. Support the setup and maintenance of Windows-based systems, including Windows 7, 10, and 11 (Embedded).
5. Ensure all IT assets are tracked, maintained and documented accurately.
6. Remote fault resolution via various available tools and programs.
7. Managing ticket management system.
8. Creating and updating support tickets.
9. Identifying trends and reporting on them.
10. Stock allocation & management through asset management system.
11. Collaborate with the network support and operations teams to support field installations and on-site troubleshooting.
12. Work effectively with a variety of internal teams, including Asset Development, Sales and Finance.
13. Creation of technical and documentation (procedures, hardware & software setups).
14. Installation planning and preparation.
15. Configuring equipment prior to installations and site visits.
16. Network cabinet building.
Skills and Qualifications:
17. Full UK Driving Licence.
18. Computer literate and experience providing hands-on IT support (1st/2nd line).
19. Computer networking skills.
20. Excellent knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 7, 10 & 11 Embedded).
21. CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (MCP/MCSA).
22. Experienced in problem solving, especially with ISPs (ADSL, VDSL 3G & 4G).
23. Experience in remote support via TeamViewer.
24. Excellent workmanship and teamwork.
25. Experienced in problem solving.
26. Excellent written and oral skills.
27. Excellent attention to detail and thorough planning.

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
