Post Title: Adult Protection Practitioner (ASP) x 2

Location: TBC

Salary/Banding: 7

Hours: 36 hours per week


Responsibilities

* Work collaboratively with the Lead Nurse, Head of Public Protection, and Local Authority Adult Protection Co‑ordinator to deliver and develop a high-quality Adult Support and Protection service in line with national guidance and legislation.
* Provide specialist advice, assessment, and professional leadership in complex adult protection cases, supporting practitioners and managers across health and social care services to safeguard vulnerable adults effectively and compassionately.
* Develop and deliver Adult Support and Protection training, case supervision, and professional support systems across NHS Fife.
* Contribute to inter‑agency working, case conferences, Initial Referral Discussions (IRDs), large‑scale investigations, and strategic improvement work through participation in Adult Support and Protection Committee sub‑groups and task groups.
* Manage highly sensitive and complex situations within a multi‑agency environment, exercising excellent communication, leadership, and risk assessment skills.
* Travel throughout the Fife area regularly.


Qualifications

* Registered NMAHP professional with significant post‑registration experience, including substantial experience in Adult Support and Protection practice.
* Degree level education with a relevant postgraduate qualification.
* Strong clinical leadership, partnership working and a commitment to continuous professional development.
