We have an opportunity for a Service Delivery Manager to join our team based in London. Key responsibilities include the effective management of the caretakers and grounds maintenance staff to ensure the correct level of suitably trained and experienced resources are available on‑site to meet requirements of statutory legislation such as Building Safety and other compliance requirements at all times. Effective resource and workload planning, quality assurance through regular audits, and maintaining documented records.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the cleaning and grounds maintenance of properties, ensuring they are carried out to a high standard.
- Inspecting works completed to ensure they represent value for money and efficient use of materials.
- Maintaining compliance for health and safety, ensuring this is promoted and adhered to.
- Handling complaints and breakdowns in service to meet customer expectations.
- Working with colleagues to ensure work is arranged, prioritised and completed efficiently.
- Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring the customer remains our main focus; working closely with the Home Office to prevent unlawful working.
Qualifications
- Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary; Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, an exempt charity.
- ILM membership (The Institute of Leadership) or NVQ Level 3 in any trade, or currently undertaking the qualification; original certification must be presented (copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted).
- Recent experience in a similar role, preferably within building maintenance or facilities management.
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation.
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads.
- Basic user of Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook (or similar).
- Valid UK driving licence if the role involves driving a company vehicle.
