Overview
The role of Chef de Partie at Avery Healthcare is to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service, contributing to the wellbeing of residents. The successful candidate will have a catering qualification, a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and at least 1 year of catering experience, with compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality culinary services.
Main duties
As a Chef de Partie, your responsibilities will include participating in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering functions across the home and address special dietary requirements, preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, supporting cost-effective stock control to minimise waste, and working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu regularly. You are expected to uphold the company values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as Chef de Partie is to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service, contributing to residents\' wellbeing.
Other responsibilities include:
* Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree catering functions across the home, and to address special needs or dietary requirements of residents.
* Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.
* Supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure they are in place.
* Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.

* Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
* Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

* Demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality culinary services to residents.
* Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
