Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Arborist to join our team, responsible for the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs in various landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tree biology, health, and safety practices. You will be tasked with ensuring the vitality and aesthetic appeal of our green spaces while utilising your expertise in landscape maintenance.
There is opertunity for the right canidate to use this role as a stepping stone to tree surveying and consultanty. The role would be site basis to begin with, but the development of the role is possible alongside climbing.
Responsibilities
- Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal as necessary to maintain health and safety.
- Assess tree health and diagnose diseases or pest issues.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Build and maintain garden beds, ensuring proper irrigation and soil management.
- Dig holes for planting trees or shrubs, ensuring proper depth and spacing.
- Conduct groundskeeping duties to maintain the overall appearance of landscaped areas.
- Collaborate with team members to execute landscape projects efficiently.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working order through regular inspections and repairs.
Experience
- Previous experience in arboriculture or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and mechanical knowledge is essential.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices, including irrigation systems and soil management techniques.
- A strong understanding of plant biology, particularly trees and shrubs, is advantageous.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.

Pay: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
