Area Sales Manager
The Role: The Area Sales Manager will be in the field 3-4 days per week conducting well thought out, planned, customer visits with independent and national merchants, DIY retailers, and manufacturing end user prospects across the South East and Midlands area for a well respected brand in the fixings & fastening industry.
You will be inheriting a core business area, although one in need of developing. The Area Sales Manager will have around 60 spending accounts in the region, with a lot of data to go at for new business and lapsed accounts. The growth area is the South East of the UK. Organising your days and weeks is key to success, conducting multiple, pre-booked, meetings per day is the expectation and you'll have to wear both distribution account management, and industrial end user new business hats.
This role will suit a field sales professional who is organised, a territory planner, commercially astute, and comfortable in both winning new business over a long period of time, as well as winning orders quickly through distribution accounts across the patch.
The Company: This business are a well respected name in the fixings & fastenings sector with a UK head office, global supply chain, and plenty of warehousing & stock in the UK to cover all client needs. They have a well established sales team, strong leadership, and there's a great career to be had for someone here.
We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
6. A field sales professional with a good level of demonstrable experience to date
7. Has route planning, account segmentation, and new business skill sets
8. Understands selling through distribution/builders merchants, as well as direct
9. Someone who is up for the challenge, able to spend up to a night away per week, and build business
10. Have an ambition to grow their personal brand and develop as a sales professional
11. Full & Clean Driving licence
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 basic salary DOE + £7k OTE (uncapped and can be exceeded via kickers) - paid quarterly + Company Car (Electric or Plug-In hybrid) + Pension + 25 days holiday (+ stats) + Life Assurance x4 basic salary
