The Technology team works with a set of global retail convenience businesses to support and develop a compelling portfolio of products to differentiate customer experiences and deliver breakthrough business value.
As Senior Principal Delivery Manager Europe, you will be the business facing technology leader for our European retail business working closely with business partners to understand and deliver all technology needs. You will be leading highly skilled cross-functional teams that are running and developing a technology portfolio of products and services that are designed for adoption in markets in Europe, collaborating with and utilising global services to deliver the local digital needs.
Your technologies include in-house build solutions as well as the procurement and provisioning of modern 3rd-party systems, and associated vendor management. This is already a well-established portfolio and at the same time subject to continuous evolution in support to bp’s goal of providing mobility and services to our customers. You will also be accountable for the operational health of the portfolio, embedding and developing through your teams appropriate site reliability engineering practices.

* Lead and mentor a large and diverse digital organization that delivers and maintains multiple products, and technologies.
* Establish and maintain a high-performance culture that fosters innovation, excellence, collaboration, and customer satisfaction.
* Drive the adoption of best practices, standards, and methodologies for software development, testing, deployment, and operations.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and quality requirements for regions in Europe
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, including, vendors, partners, and industry peers
* Have a customer-led view on deliveries and priorities.
* Represent and promote our company's brand, values, and vision as one of the key leaders for technology in our European business
Requirements
* Experience leading within the grocery retail sector or equivalent would be a strong advantage
* Degree in computer science or equivalent engineering disciplines
* Strong understanding of the product led operating model and experience of supporting delivery through multi discipline teams
* Significant experience running large technology organisations within global enterprises to build, launch and operate software solutions at scale.
* Experience leading large engineering teams to deliver scaled products.
* Technical expertise that extends across the energy and convenience sector. This includes industry standards like Connexus and IFSF, point-of-sale (POS) and supply chain systems, payment processing infrastructure, and/or other retail technologies.
* Experience with PCI and other relevant governance and regulatory compliance standards.
* A strong leader with a history of delivery that brings teams with them, creating a high-performance culture who role models bp’s ‘who we are’ and beliefs.
