About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a real-world chemistry environment. It would be particularly well-suited to individuals currently studying or recently graduated in chemistry or a related scientific field.
You will join a skilled and experienced team on a temporary basis, contributing to the small-scale production of perovskites. This role offers valuable exposure to working within a dynamic chemistry start-up.
Ideally, you will have some prior laboratory experience and a good understanding of health and safety protocols, along with strong attention to detail. Full on-site training will be provided.
There is potential for the role to become permanent, though this is not a requirement.
Responsibilities:
* As part of our Scale up team, you will be working with Scale up chemists to support the company pilot line development.
* Operate small scale production of perovskites nanocrystals and dispersion following agreed recipes and process.
* Performing perovskites nanocrystals quality control measurement.
* Keeping and recording detailed records of production batches and process and quality control checks.
* Ensuring equipment is cleaned and maintained.
* Adhering to all safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
* Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental procedures.
* Reporting issues and suggesting improvements.
* Work collaboratively with the scale up team to support continuous improvement.
Experience & Attributes:
* Studying or recently graduated in chemistry or a similar science field.
* Lab experience gained at university or within an industry environment.
* Knowledge of handling, storing and labelling hazardous products.
* Excellent organisation and record keeping skills.
* Detailed orientated mindset.
* Ability to follow detailed procedures and work to high quality standards.
* Excellent team working skills to effectively collaborate with other members of the team.
* Physically fit and comfortable working in a laboratory environment.
Advantage:
* Experience in new materials synthetical scale up / pilot line production or similar.
