We are recruiting an experienced Field Service Breakdown Engineer for a well-established industrial engineering company based in Rushden. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated engineer to join a growing business offering a permanent position within a varied industrial maintenance and breakdown environment.
Salary
£35,000 – £48,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities
* Attend customer sites to carry out electrical breakdown repairs, servicing, and maintenance
* Diagnose faults using electrical drawings and fault-finding techniques
* Work on a wide range of industrial machinery including compactors, balers, shredders, printing presses, extruders, and automated systems
* Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance work efficiently and safely
* Provide excellent customer service while representing the business on-site
* Work independently to identify issues and restore machinery operation
* Support preventative maintenance and servicing activities across multiple industries
Requirements
* Previous experience within an industrial maintenance or breakdown engineering environment
* Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
* Working knowledge of PLC systemsKnowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical engineering
* Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Relevant City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Maintenance Engineering
* Full UK Driving Licence
