Role Overview: Working outdoors in all weather conditions, you'll carry out maintenance and faulting tasks, supporting the safe and efficient operation of the railway. You'll develop management skills by deputising for the Team Leader and work as part of a team to ensure safety and reliability of signalling and telecoms equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance, faulting, and inspection of signalling and telecom systems.
* Support safety procedures and safe working practices.
* Assist in the development of technical skills across manual, electrical, and digital equipment.
* Work safely in all weather conditions, often in challenging environments.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Transferable skills demonstrating leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
* Relevant technical knowledge or experience in maintenance, inspection, faulting, or renewal techniques.
* Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
* Driving license (category B).
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
