Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant (x2 Positions) Location: Coleshill Start Date: After Half Term Contract: Full-time (Monday-Friday) Rate: £100 - £110 per day (dependent on experience) Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, is supporting a warm and inclusive primary school in Coleshill to recruit two full‑time SEND Teaching Assistants. These roles will involve working with children who require additional support across the school, including Year 3, both 1:1 SEND support and general class support. The successful candidates will work under the guidance of the SENCo and class teachers to support learning, regulate behaviour, and help pupils access the curriculum effectively. This is a 5‑day‑a‑week role, starting after half term and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the potential to continue. The school offers a nurturing environment, supportive staff, and a strong commitment to inclusion. Candidates must be confident, proactive, and experienced in supporting children with a range of SEND needs. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have substantial experience supporting children with SEND within a school environment. Be confident working with pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language, or cognition and learning difficulties. Be able to deliver 1:1 support as well as work with small groups to reinforce learning and provide targeted interventions. Work effectively as part of the school's SEND team, following support plans and adapting strategies as needed. Demonstrate strong behaviour‑management skills and the ability to create a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment. Be flexible, reliable, and confident using their own initiative throughout the school day. Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and families. Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Bring a positive, child‑centred attitude and a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
