Role Summary: To make a significant contribution to the achievement of Express sales budget by: Exceeding personal new business annual sales target Driving new business acquisition with a strong focus on B2B sales Conducting consultative meetings with prospective customers to understand their needs, present tailored solutions and negotiate pricing and contract terms Key Responsibilities: Work with the Regional Sales Manager to implement the sales strategy and business plan for the assigned Depot or Depots Use various methods including cold calling, networking, digital channels and local industry events to generate and qualify new business opportunities Own and manage the sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation to close and implementation Keep abreast of market intelligence to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activities and customer preferences Demonstrate strong knowledge of the DX product portfolio and all associated features and benefits and to tailor those benefits to the needs of the customer Track performance of accounts, opportunity and scope to build and maintain customer relations Provide regular performance reports and sales forecasts to senior management Attend team meetings and contribute as necessary on own individual performance, prepare for manager review meetings and complete sales activity reports accurately and on time Use the sales tools in line with the agreed sales process to maintain and develop sales pipeline and customer information Key Skills: Minimum 3-5 years experience in B2B sales with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding new business targets in the UK domestic parcels, logistics or related sectors Demonstrated expertise in consultative selling, prospecting and closing deals with senior decision makers Detailed understanding of sales process and demonstration of world-class sales rigor, hunger and determination Strong understanding of the UK domestic parcels market, including industry dynamics and competitive landscape Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present solutions confidently and professionally Able to travel within designated territory and able to work with the minimum of supervision Highly proficient Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Email, Access, Power Point) Benefits: Competitive Rates of Pay Holidays: 25 days increasing with length of service bank holidays Long Service Recognition scheme Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Company Pension Scheme Life Assurance Employee Assistance programme including 24/7 Virtual GP DX Discounts Portal Excellent opportunities for career progression and more We look forward to hearing from you ADZN1_UKTJ
