Key Responsibilities
* Pure Tone Audiometry: Conduct precise and accurate hearing tests.
* Full Masking: Perform comprehensive masking procedures.
* Comprehensive Adult Hearing Rehabilitation Service: Includes first assessments, hearing aid fitting, and individual care plan development.
* Rehabilitation Advice: Offer guidance to patients and carers.
* Diagnostic Procedures: Perform tests during ENT clinics for children.
* Support Specialist Audiologists: Assist with cases as required.
* Professional Development: Maintain and document your growth.
Systems to be Used
* Auditbase: Audiology clinical system
* Careflow: Hospital's main PAS system
* Big Hand: Digital dictation for reporting
* Kiosk: For outcoming patient attendances
Duties to include
* Conduct first assessments following guidelines and protocols.
* Develop and implement individual patient treatment plans.
* Fit the most appropriate hearing aid using real ear measurements.
* Provide advice on assistive listening devices and refer to other agencies as needed.
* Fine-tune hearing aids to meet patient requirements.
* Identify patients needing additional rehabilitation and refer them to a specialist Audiologist.
* Assist with vestibular assessments and operate related equipment.
* Perform timely diagnostic tests during ENT clinics.
* Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient notes and information.
* Understand patient pathways and maintain accurate waiting list data.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Relevant degree in Audiology or equivalent with completed clinical placements
* Experience with paediatric patients
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Flexibility to travel across the North Lincolnshire area
