Job Title: KYC Business Analyst
Job Description
This role sits within the Onboarding and Know Your Customer (OBKYC) Value Stream, which delivers group-wide onboarding and KYC capabilities and services. You will work with business, operations and technology colleagues to co-design and build solutions that enhance customer experience, improve data quality and strengthen the bank’s digital and reporting capabilities. Based in Sheffield and collaborating with global teams, you will focus on transforming reporting processes, automating dashboards and optimising tools and workflows that support onboarding and KYC/CDD solutions.
Responsibilities
1. Gather and document detailed business requirements for reporting automation and dashboard enhancements, ensuring they align with stakeholder needs and strategic objectives.
2. Coordinate the migration of manual reports into a centralised dashboard, ensuring data accuracy, consistency and usability.
3. Map existing reporting processes, identify inefficiencies and design improved workflows that increase automation, reduce manual effort and enhance control.
4. Optimise the use of Jira and Confluence for requirements tracking, delivery management and documentation, promoting consistent and effective usage across the team.
5. Collaborate closely with stakeholders and the Product Owner to clarify needs, define priorities and agree success criteria for reporting and process changes.
6. Deliver training sessions and create clear, user-friendly documentation to support adoption of new tools, dashboards and workflows.
7. Champion best practices in reporting, process optimisation and delivery tracking, encouraging continuous improvement within the team.
8. Work with cross-functional teams across business, operations and technology to support the design and build of digital onboarding and KYC services.
9. Contribute to the transformation of reporting processes in line with the Future State Architecture and digital acceleration initiatives.
10. Support change initiatives by helping teams understand new processes and tools, and by gathering feedback to refine solutions.
Essential Skills
11. Strong background in onboarding and KYC/CDD solutions or similar products, with a clear understanding of client and regulatory requirements.
12. Proven experience in defining and delivering end-to-end projects from requirements through to implementation.
13. Demonstrable experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping and documenting current and target states.
14. Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for tracking requirements, managing delivery and maintaining documentation.
15. experience with dashboard and reporting tools, including working with stakeholders to translate needs into practical reporting solutions.
16. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
17. Ability to design and deliver training and provide ongoing knowledge support for new tools, processes and reporting solutions.
18. background in Agile delivery and/or financial services (desirable), with an understanding of iterative delivery and collaboration practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
19. experience with data visualisation, including designing or advising on effective, user-friendly dashboard layouts.
20. Change management experience, supporting teams through process changes with clear communication, training and adoption strategies.
21. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights.
22. experience with API integrations and familiarity with integrating data from multiple sources, including third-party systems.
23. Ability to positively influence, engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including high value customers, suppliers, vendors and internal product teams.
24. Demonstrable management and critical decision-making experience in a regulated industry.
25. Confidence to experiment, test ideas and share learnings and insights to drive continuous improvement.
26. Strong skills in analytical thinking, problem solving, process design and requirements gathering, supported by knowledge of Project Management, Business Analysis and/or the Software Development Lifecycle, ideally in an Agile or Scrum environment.

You will operate within an Agile setting, using tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage requirements, track delivery and maintain documentation. The work focuses on digital onboarding, KYC/CDD platforms and reporting solutions, with significant interaction between business, operations and technology functions.
