Key Responsibilities
Partnership Taxation
1. Assist in preparing income tax computations, reviewing year-end accounts, and general ledger accounts.
2. Support in filing partnership returns, inputting computations and allocations on CCH software.
Corporation Tax
3. Aid in preparing corporate tax computations for UK companies.
4. Assist in filing corporation tax returns using CCH software.
5. Collaborate on calculating and managing corporation tax payments.
Indirect Taxation
6. Contribute to preparing quarterly VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
7. Assist in conducting variance analyses for VAT returns and ensuring compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
Withholding Tax:
8. Support in monitoring balance sheet accounts for Withholding Tax (WHT) postings.
9. Assist in addressing issues related to withholding taxes and currency controls on settlement.
10. Aid in processing double tax relief claims and ensuring proper documentation is received.
Essential Skills & Experience
11. Ideally, some exposure to tax or a strong interest in pursuing a career in tax.
12. Graduate / AAT or CAT Qualified / Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
13. Proficient in Excel.
14. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
15. Solid numeracy skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
16. Effective time management and organisational skills, capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
17. Team player with good interpersonal skills.
