Future Build Recruitment are currently working with a specialist glazing contractor based in Guildford who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work across a range of high-profile glazing and façade projects while enjoying flexibility in your working week. If you have a background in commercial management within glazing, cladding, or façades, this could be a fantastic step forward in your career.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, and cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct accurate measurement and take-offs related to glazing and façade systems.
* Analyse tender documentation and support in the preparation of competitive bids.
* Procure and manage subcontractor packages and supply chain performance.
* Monitor financial performance and project progress, providing regular commercial reporting to senior stakeholders.
* Handle variations, change orders, and manage final accounts to close out projects efficiently.
* Ensure all work complies with contractual obligations and commercial best practices.
* Assist in risk management and value engineering to optimise project delivery.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the glazing, cladding, or façade industry.
* Sound understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
* Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
