A well-regarded primary school in Sherborne is seeking an experienced and passionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time position, ideal for a qualified SENCO who is ready to lead and develop inclusive practices across the school.
Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic development of the school\'s SEND provision
* Coordinate and oversee support for pupils with special educational needs
* Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies
* Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and support plans
Requirements
* Proven experience working as a SENCO in a primary school setting
* National Award for SEN Coordination (or equivalent)
* Strong understanding of current SEND legislation and best practice
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
