Position Type: Amphitheater/ Security Date Posted: 1/12/2026 Location: Devon Amphitheater JOB TITLE: The Devon - Security LOCATION: The Devon Amphitheater CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time, Non-Exempt WAGE: $16/hour SUMMARY Responsible for maintaining a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere for patrons and quickly resolving issues when they arise. SUPERVISOR RELATIONSHIPS Reports to the Amphitheater General Manager and Decatur Park Police on duty ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Helps to maintain a fun and safe atmosphere during events at The Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater Enforces rules and policies of The Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater Notifies the supervisor when an issue is escalating Facilitates parking procedures and safety measures Follows duties as assigned by supervisor Attends work on a regular basis Interacts with customers in a friendly and polite manager Arrange for substitutes and notifies managers of changes REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS Must be physically fit to perform job duties Subject to background check, no felony convictions Capacity to provide a high level of customer service to customers Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with supervisors and co-workers Ability to work with general direction from immediate supervisor Capacity to utilize effective time management skills to complete the assigned job tasks Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities to perform required work Ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff and the public orally and in writing, as needed Ability to maintain self-control and composure in difficult situations Capacity to proactively resolve problems EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING High school graduate or G.E.D. Minimum age of 18 is required Or, any equivalent combination of education, experience and training Valid IL Driver’s License required Must successfully complete training with Decatur Park Police HOURS Sunday through Saturday, varied hours based on the facility’s hours of operation, with work hours designated by the Amphitheater General Manager Employee may work a combination of daytime, evening, split shift, weekend and holiday hours Employee is considered to be on duty whenever the need exists PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS Sitting – occasionally Walking – frequently Strength –medium (25-50 lbs.)
