FCRMS Asset Management Business Systems Team Senior Advisor - 32232

This role supports the Asset Management Business Systems Team (AMBST) in delivering carbon management and digital tool support across the agency.
Role Overview
As a senior advisor, you will collaborate with the EA, Defra’s Digital, Data and Technology Services (DDTS), local authorities, water companies, and civil engineering supply chain partners to manage and develop operational carbon tools and associated services. Your focus will be on ensuring these tools become core components of asset management systems and deliver measurable carbon reduction outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support EA and external users of operational carbon tools.
* Manage and deliver a range of services to carbon tool users.
* Agree and maintain service agreements with various user groups.
* Act as a senior product user for digital improvement projects of carbon tools and data.
* Plan and manage user activities in implementing carbon tool changes and improvements.
* Manage resources and funding for carbon tool support and maintenance.
* Collaborate with operational carbon communities and national leads as required.
* Work with IT suppliers and internal teams across EA, FCRM, Operations, and DDTS.
Required Experience and Skills
* Significant experience and knowledge in carbon management for infrastructure assets, projects or programmes.
* Experience in asset management and/or infrastructure business processes.
* Experience in digital tool development or user implementation services.
* Experience in developing training and documentation.
* Knowledge and skills in stakeholder engagement and effective communication.
* Ability to identify, analyse, evaluate and implement improved ways of working.
* Decision‑making and problem‑solving skills for complex business problems.
* Strong focus on efficiency, innovation and quality.
* Strong focus on customers and partners and ability to build and sustain relationships.
* Ability to manage yourself and work independently.
